I actually like the kirby vacuum cleaning itself, but I HATE their sales tactics. I do not need some pushy sales person in my home telling me how dirty it is and then try to sell me a $1500 vacuum. I mean really! The latest one stupidly convinced me that it would only take 5 minutes and she needed to make one more demonstration for the day. 50 minutes later I finally got her to leave. It was obnoxious. I told her over and over I wasn’t buying one, I already had one, she just wouldn’t listen. I think Warren Buffet owns Kirby, now I love Warren Buffet, but he needs to tell those kirby people to try a new sales approach!

I bought a Kirby 15 yrs ago and had to finance it to pay for. Salesmen come to door once in while trying to sell me a new one-why would I buy a new one when this one works just fine with replacement parts. Just have it serviced every 3 years or so. Think I will spend over a thousand dollars again on a vacuum? no way! These are made to last a long time and mine has proven that so far. If i had to pay that money again on a vacuum i would spend the money replacing carpeting with tile floors instead LOL. Then all I would need would be a damp mop.
